Can AI chatbots give you a good workout plan?

A new study put them to the test!

Researchers looked at how well AI chatbots could recommend exercise routines for people with different health conditions. They checked if the plans were complete, accurate, and easy to understand.

Here's the deal:

  • The good: The AI was pretty accurate (90%!) when it came to the facts about exercise.

  • The not-so-good: The plans weren't very complete, missing some key details. They were also a bit tough to read, like a college textbook.

  • The interesting: The AI seemed a bit worried about safety, often suggesting people check with their doctor before starting to exercise.

So, what does this mean for you?

AI can be a helpful tool, but it's not a perfect personal trainer (yet!). If you're using AI for exercise advice, remember it's just one piece of the puzzle. It's always best to talk to your doctor or a fitness expert for your personalized advice.
